Facebook has released the Fan Box widget that would turn website visitors into fans, Inside Facebook reported.

The new widget, which would make Facebook more compelling than MySpace (sorry Mr. Murdoch), allows the putting of Facebook Page anywhere on the web. It also allows users to:

See how many users are already fans, and see some of their friends who are;

Read recent posts from the Page; and

Become a fan with 1-click without needing to visit the Page.

Brands and small businesses are expected to take advantage of this new marketing tool.
